Lack of Activity

I want to apologise for the lack of new content over the past weeks.  Simply put, I've been extremely busy with school, work, and volunteering.  In two weeks, school will be entirely over and I have some improvements I am going to do over the summer, so look forward to that!  Most of these improvements are to the forums and our commenting system. smile

Re: Lack of Activity

Don't worry about it, we're all in the same spot. Except that I've still got classes, exams, etc. until the end of June.

Re: Lack of Activity

Aw... I only have one exam left this semester, on Thursday. But after that I'll start work on my Google Summer of Code project, heheh.

Re: Lack of Activity

It is web development related, but not quite what you might expect: CGI Library Improvements for Boost C++ Libraries.

Re: Lack of Activity

I've not heard about that project before, however I dont do C++ at all. I think doing some work for Summer of Code might be a good thing for me to do in the future. Not sure what project I'd do though sick

Re: Lack of Activity

I too have been very busy. If you have me on facebook when you'll know I've been ploughing through my dissertation, which is due in on Friday but need to get it to printing and binding before then. Also have a 15 page security essay due in on Sunday, a reliability assignment due in on Friday and a UPL assignment due in Friday. Need to start revising as my first exam is under 2 weeks away now.

Fun fun fun

Re: Lack of Activity

Ah, the joy of finals week.  My finals are all next week.  However, being a liberal arts major, everything is just essays and essays.  Ugh.

I wish everyone good luck with their finals and their papers, especially Tom and his dissertation. smile

I noticed you'll be writing support for FastCGI. If you don't mind I'd like to pick your brain about that after you finish the project, I want to do the same thing in Common Lisp.

Re: Lack of Activity

I've just moved into a new apartment, so I'm going to be without Internet for probably a month.  I'm moving again in a month across the hall to a remodeled unit, so I figure it'll be easier to have no Internet for a bit than go through the process of moving my account.  I'll still be on Lowter because I work from 9AM - 5PM, but my evenings will be Internet-free.  Perhaps the distraction-free time will allow me to write some new content. tongue

Re: Lack of Activity

I intend to get Internet ASAP after moving to Antwerp, if only because it's the most efficient way to find out about all other subscriptions like cellphone stuff.

Re: Lack of Activity

Not having Internet is weird, but when it boils down to it, when I come home from work I don't have much time left in the day.  I'm still working on a few things casually that I hope to have done by the time I do get Internet access.

Re: Lack of Activity

I would like everyone to know that I intend to restart a regular publishing schedule next week.  Everything is settling down and I'm nearly done with an article about MVC.

Re: Lack of Activity

I begun with jewish studies... got bored and quit so I'm free all day long. At first it was nice but now its mostly frustrating not having anything to do. Looking into either biomedical chemistry or pharmacy program.

Re: Lack of Activity

I should be about more now. Finish my finals and run out of money so no more drinking for me!

Going to download the Android API and start having a play with it I think
