Mambo anyone?
Anyone here real familiar with Mambo?
I'm trying it out and am stuck on an issue.
If so, let me know and I'll post my question for ya.

I've used it here and there. What issue are you having, I might be able to try and help.

Re: Mambo anyone?
Alrighty:
I'm having trouble getting a front end entry to publish.
I have a front end account set up for myself in the "publisher" group for entering a new blog entry.
After I've entered a new one, I make sure the the publishing options are set to "publish" on today's date and I click "save".
It refreshes me back to the index page and says- "Not authorized to view this resource" and the new entry is not published.
In fact, I cannot find evidence of it anywhere in the admin side as well.
I installed 4.6 and found out after the fact that it was not an official release yet, but I would think a basic function as this would not be an issue.

Re: Mambo anyone?
Can you do everything fine with an all-access account? It may just be an issue with the permissions of the account or something.
Also, have you tried Joomla as I've heard its code based is more stable. It is a split off from Mambo when the company overlooking Mambo decided to fire all the original developers.

Re: Mambo anyone?
I posted this on the official Mambo forum a couple days ago and FINALLY got a responce this morning.
He suggested, as you did, that I try making a front end entry logged in as the administrator.
Same thing happened. I got the error and the entry did not post.
I don't know.
I'm not very far along so I might just give Joomla a try.

Re: Mambo anyone?
Perhaps downgrading Mambo verisons could work as well, but that project is going downhill now that the original core group is on a different project.

Re: Mambo anyone?
I trashed Mambo and installed Joomla and it all worked the first time around.
(Took me days to get any help on the Mambo forums also )

Re: Mambo anyone?
Ah, I think when Mambo and Joomla split code bases a lot, Mambo was not as stable any more.
